Winthrop, MA – Men's basketball players Billy Ray Barnes III (Inglewood, CA) and Harlan Nichols (Las Vegas, NV) have been recognized in the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Honors. Barnes was chosen to the GNAC All-Conference Third Team, and Nichols earns another GNAC All-Sportsmanship selection.

Barnes, in his first season with the Bulldogs, earns his first All-Conference selection. The junior wing was one of the most productive players for Dean, scoring 15.9 points per game, 113 rebounds, and 50 assists. Barnes also finished top-15 in the GNAC in points per game, top-10 in shooting percentage (52.2%), and top-10 in total minutes (905).

Barnes also came through for Dean in multiple memorable moments, including crucial baskets against Johnson & Wales University and Anna Maria College during the GNAC play-in game.

Harly Nichols, now finishing his final season with the Bulldogs, picks up his second GNAC All-Sportsmanship distinction. Nichols also made the team during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. The senior captain has been a crucial player on defense, producing 16 total rebounds, with 11 of them being defensive.
