Men's Volleyball Snaps Skid With Lobsided Victory Over Fisher, 3-0

Boston, MA- The Dean College volleyball got off their schneid on Wednesday night, taking down Fisher College in a dominant performance. The 3-0 victory puts Dean at 3-18 (0-9) on the season, while Fisher now falls to 0-15.

In the opening set, Dean asserted control early, winning 25-11. First-year Ayden Rogers (Tewksbury, MA) led the attack with four kills, while Hayson Shing (Hong Kong) added three. The Bulldogs capitalized on Fisher's errors, as Fisher struggled to find rhythm with only three kills and a negative hitting percentage. Dean's defense was strong, limiting Fisher to just three kills in the set.

The second set saw Fisher try to bounce back but was ultimately overwhelmed again. Dean continued to push their offense with Shing contributing four additional kills, and the Bulldogs secured a 25-13 victory in this set. The team's hitting efficiency was much better, finishing with a .238 percentage compared to Fisher's -.190.

The third sealed the deal for the Bulldogs, with Dean finishing the match with a 25-18 victory. Noah Allan (Windham, NH) was a standout in this set, contributing two blocks, while Ayden Rogers added three more kills to finish with seven for the match. Fisher's Thomas Bollentin was the lone bright spot, leading his team with six kills and two blocks, but the offensive pressure from Dean, combined with the strong service game (14 aces overall) proved insurmountable.

Dean's performance was well-rounded with contributions across the board. Hunter Armitage (Westerly, RI) orchestrated the offense with 16 assists, and Rayan Echelh's (Revere, MA) three aces helped put pressure on Fisher's receive attempts. Rogers led the way with seven kills, while Shing and Allan each had six. Arthur Felicio (Saugus, Brazil) and Casey Dubois (Dracut, MA) also contributed service aces at three and two, respectively.

The Bulldogs will continue their road trip this Saturday, playing in their final tri-match of the season at Emerson College. Dean will play Emerson at 11:00AM, followed by a re-match with Elms College at 1:00PM.
