Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Men's Volleyball Swept by Emerson College, 3-0

Franklin, MA- The Dean College men's volleyball team was swept by Emerson College on Tuesday evening by a final score of 3-0 ( 19-25, 17-25, 18-25). Dean now falls to 2-15 (0-6), while the Lions jump to 6-10 (2-4).

In the first set, the Bulldogs kept it close, as Jerney Price (San Antonio, TX) had 6 attacks, and 2 digs in the set. Arthur Felicio (Sagus, Brazil) had 7 attack. However, Emerson's duo of Hackett and Fagen could not be stopped, as they each had 10 attacks in the set, while the team hit .310. The first set also featured the longest point Dean has played at home. In fact, it occurred on the very first point, seeing a total of 12 different exchanges.

In the middle set, Fagen was at it again, as he had 12 attacks, and 6 kills, while Felicio had 5 attacks for Dean. After another set victory, the Lions got off to another hot start, going up 7-2 and forcing Dean to take a timeout. However, the momentum shifted towards the Bulldogs shortly after. Hayson Shing (Hong Kong) would see a handful of serves, allowing the Bulldogs offense to stay consistent and gain points. Dean would also earn 12 of the next 21 points.

However, after a timeout, the Lions regrouped and finished the final set and match. Emerson took the victory by a final score of 3-0.

Emerson's Chase Fagen led the Lions with 28 attacks, and 11 kills, while Theo Hackett added 21 attacks, and 9 kills. Bryson Beck had 28 Assists in the victory for Emerson. The Bulldogs were led by Felicio, who had 17 attacks, while Noah Allan (Windham, NH) had 12 attacks in the losing effort.
           
The Bulldogs return to action when they play #11 ranked Wentworth Institute of Technology this Thursday at 7PM inside Pieri Gymnasium.
