Milton, MA- The Dean College men's lacrosse team cruised into victory lane on Tuesday, defeating Curry College by a final score of 16-9. Dean advances to 2-0 on the year, while Curry moves to 0-2.

Dean set the tone early with a dominant first quarter, as Diego Alvarez-Segee (Saugus, MA) opened the scoring with a quick strike off a feed from Alec Speirs (Old Lyme, CT). The Bulldogs continued their offensive surge with goals from Speirs and Aiden Anthony (Stoneham, MA), both finishing strong drives to the net. Manny Alvarez-Segee (Saugus, MA) added to the run with a laser shot from the wing, while Joseph Marra (North Branford, CT) capitalized on a fast-break opportunity to put Dean up 5-0.

Curry College mounted a comeback in the second quarter, narrowing the gap to 7-5 by halftime. However, the Bulldogs responded in the third, with Speirs scoring twice in quick succession and Collin Murphy (Whitman, MA) finding the net off a well-executed transition play. Down the stretch, Dean's defense locked in, shutting out Curry in the final quarter while Owen Brine (Lebanon, NH) and Aidan McCarthy (Whitman, MA) tacked on late insurance goals to secure the 16-9 win.

Dean's offensive efforts were led by Diego Alvarez-Segee, who tallied five goals, and Speirs, who contributed four goals and an assist. Manny Alvarez-Segee added two goals and two assists, while Anthony, Brine, Aidan McCarthy, Marra, and Murphy each recorded a goal, showcasing the team's depth. Josh Hackett (Orange, CT) finished the game 12-22 on face-offs.

The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday afternoon, hosting Manhattanville University in a 12PM, non-conference matchup.
