Franklin, MA- The Dean College men's volleyball team made easy work of the Fisher College Falcons, taking them down 3-1 on Tuesday night inside of Pieri Gymnasium. The Bulldogs improve to 2-6 overall, while the Falcons drop to 0-6.
The Bulldogs' offense started the night on a 12-0 run, leading to a first set victory of 25-6. The Bulldogs were led in the opening set by freshman
Noah Allan (Windham, NH), who produced six kills at the net. Junior
Arthur Felicio (Saugus, Brazil) and
Jerney Price (San Antonio, TX) each had 5 attacks in the set. As a team, the Bulldogs would tally 13 total kills in the first set, along with 22 total attacks.
The 2
nd set was once again dominated by Dean. The set began with a crucial 6-3 run by the Bulldogs, with contributions from both Felicio and Allan. Setter
Hunter Armitage (Westerly, RI) also had 11 assists in the frame. The second set also saw the beginning of
Ayden Rogers (Tewksbury, MA). The freshman aided in several points, including a kill of his own.
Although the Bulldogs dropped the third set, multiple first-year players saw valuable time on the court.
John Miranda (Brockton, MA),
Casey Dubois (Dracut, MA),
Preston Carmody (Londonderry, NH),
Hayson Shing (Hong Kong),
Will Wheatley (Dover, NH), and
Rayan Echelh (Revere, MA) all started to open the set. Eventually,
James Carley (Wayland, MA) would also enter. The entire freshman class entered the game tonight, a first-time occurence in 2025.
In the 4th and final set, Dean cruised off into the sunset. Both Jackson and Allan produced a surplus of kills, while Felicio remained productive at the service line.
Mason Rua (Sao Paulo Du Sol, Portual) also aided in multiple sequences throughout the set.
Armitage produced 26 assists, while Allan tied a career-high 14 kills and an additional 18 attacks. Thomas Bollentin led Fisher with 26 attacks and 6 kills in the losing effort. Rogers also had 5 service aces in the fourth set, sealing the Dean victory.
Dean will return to action when they host a tri-match on Saturday at 11AM/1PM/3PM vs. King's College (PA) and New Jersey City University.
