Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Men's Volleyball Loses Both Contests in Saturday Tri-Match, 0-3

Franklin, MA- The Dean College men's volleyball team fell in both of their Saturday matches against King's College (PA) and New Jersey City University by a final score of 0-3. The Bulldogs now fall to 2-8 (0-1) on the year.

Match 1 – King's (PA) 3, Dean 0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-15)

The Bulldogs were outscored throughout all three sets of the first match.

However, after opening the match with  a flurry of errors, Dean managed to get back on track. Juniors Arthur Felicio (Saugus, Brazil) and Jerney Price (San Antonio, TX) secured multiple kills for the Bulldogs, working efficiently at the line. Setter Hunter Armitage (Westerly, RI) also played a key role in securing Dean's offensive efforts.

Felicio and freshman Noah Allan (Windham, NH) led the way in kills with six each. Nunu Coward-Jackson (Fresno, CA) also posted a total of five games in the contest. Armitage led Dean in assists with 22. Mason Rua (Sao Paulo Du Sol, Portugal) posted eight total digs, leading Dean on defense.

Match 2 – New Jersey City University 3, Dean 0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-17)

The Bulldogs began their second match on a slow note. However, after kills by Ayden Rogers (Tewksbury, MA) and Price, Dean managed to make the fist set competitive. Sets two and three brought much of the same results, with Allan and Coward-Jackson leading the charge up front. Much of Dean's offense was generated through kills at the net and blocks.

Rogers and Coward-Jackson led the way in kills with five each. Allan was right behind with four kills. Armitage finished with 13 total assits at the line, and Rua once again led Dean in digs with nine.

Dean is back in action on Saturday, Feburary 22nd in a tri-match with Russell Sage College and Purchase College. Dean's matches begin at 11:00AM and 3:00PM.
