Burlington, VT- The Dean College Women's Basketball team played against the University of Vermont on Tuesday evening, marking the first time in program history they have competed against an NCAA Division I opponent. However, they were defeated in full time by a final score of 31-137.
How it Happened:
-The Catamounts would control the pace of play throughout the entirety of the ballgame. Their 68 percent efficiency from the field ultimately paved their way to victory.
-Dean's
Abigail Lacy (Arroyo Grande, CA) had an impressive performance, posting 15 points. This included the team's first three-pointer of the season. Lacy would also post three boards in the game.
-
Azaria Landry (Lacey, WA) would score four points in the contest and a defensive rebound.
Jordan Ellis (Bridgeport, CT) would also score four points in the contest.
-Two players would score three points each for the Bulldogs: First-year
Natalie Kerstein (Middleboro, MA) and
Kendrah Doane (New Salem, MA).Â
-The Bulldogs posted 21 rebounds in the game, including eight on the offensive side of the court.
