Franklin, MA- The Dean College Women's Basketball team was defeated in non-conference action by Keene State College on Tuesday by a final score of 107-59. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 1-5 on the year, while the Owls move to 3-1.

How it Happened:
-The Owls would show their aggression right off the tip, stealing the opening toss and taking it down the other side of the court. Kendrah Doane (New Salem, MA) would be charged with a foul in the process. One possession later, Keene State broke open the score off a three-pointer from Valerie Luizzi. 
-Dean's first points of the game would be from a strong effort by Abigail Lacy (Arroyo Grande, CA). She would draw a foul inside the paint and scored on both free throws.
-Keene State would score over have of the first quarter's points, leading the Bulldogs 32-12.
-The second quarter would bring similar results, with the Owls leading at the break. Lacy led the Bulldogs in first half scoring with 13 points.
-In the third quarter, junior Azaria Landry (Lacey, WA) would lead the charge. She would score five points in the quarter, along with an offensive board. However, the Bulldogs still trailed by a sizable portion.
-Quarter number four would seal the game for Keene State. Their 21 points in the final leg would give them the final victory 107-59.
-However, their victory would not be met without a Dean fight in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs rallied for a quarter-high 25 points, including strong quarters from both Doane and Alana Zirlis (Clinton, CT). Zirlis would have a three-point shot from half court with 0.2 seconds on the clock, ending the game in momentous fashion. First-year Kenzie Sherburne (Durham, NY) also posted four points in the quarter.
