Boston, MA- The Dean College Women's Soccer team fell in the final minutes of their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game with Simmons University by a score of 1-2. With the loss, Dean now drops to 2-7-1 (1-4-1 GNAC), while the Sharks improve to 3-6-1 (2-3-1 GNAC).

How it Happened:
-The entire first half would remain scoreless for both sides. However, it would be Simmons applying the majority of the pressure. The Sharks totaled 12 saves in the first half, all of which either missed the net or were saved by Dean keeper Lexi Gerow (Pownal, VT). 
-The Bulldogs had two shots within the box, both of which were saved. Miro McIntyre Clere (Sydney, Austrailia) had the first, followed by Kacie Consolini (Stafford Springs, CT).
-It would be Dean who would strike first in the match. In the 61st minute of the game, Consolini would find the back of the net, unassisted. Dean now held the 1-0 advantage. 
-However, Simmons would rally to tie the game just twelve minutes later. Mikaela Marie Javar got a smooth feed towards the box, sneaking it past Gerow to tie the match.
-Both sides would push hard towards the finish, but in the 80th minute, Simmons secured the game-winning goal. Olivia Riley would score unassisted to give Simmons the 2-1 lead. Dean had one more shot by Lainey Buffington (Plainfield, CT) and a corner kick by Amelia McQuiggan (Taunton, MA), but they were unsuccessful. Simmons would win by the 2-1 score.
