PAXTON, Mass.- Three second half goals doomed the Dean College Bulldogs, as Anna Maria rallied from a 1-0 deficit to take a 3-1 victory in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Saturday. The loss drops Dean to 2-6-0 (1-4-0 GNAC) on the year, while Anna Maria improves to 7-2-0 (5-2-0 GNAC).

Jake Richard (Townsend, Mass.) continued his streak of stellar play, scoring the first goal of the game, unassisted, in the 19th minute. The goal was Richard's third of the week and third of the season. The rest of the half was scoreless and the Bulldogs entered the halftime break with a 1-0 lead. A tightly played first half, Dean led 6-5 in shots and 3-0 in corner kicks.
The tide turned in the second half, when the AmCats ripped off three goals in the span of 13 minutes to tie the game, take the lead, and then add insurance.
Rubesi Moran scored back-to-back goals in the span of five minutes, the first on an assist by
Iweka Iweka, and the second unassisted to give the hosts a 2-1 advantage. Eight minutes later,
Ciaran Coneely Bailey scored, also assisted by Iweka, to give Anna Maria the decisive 3-1 lead.
Dean held a 16-13 final advantage in shots, and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks. Richard had eight of the Bulldogs 15 shots, spraying six on goal, however, Anna Maria keeper,
Valter Santiago, was up to the task, making nine saves. Junior goalkeeper
Jake Godwin (Norwalk. Conn.) made five saves for the Bulldogs.
Dean is back in action on Tuesday when they host University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
