FRANKLIN, Mass. – April 23, 2024 – Sophomore
Jacob Paschetto (East Longmeadow, Mass.), the reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, set single-game program records, since Dean joined the NCAA, with three home runs and eight RBIs in Tuesday's 18-6 victory over Albertus Magnus.
Paschetto became one of 25 players in the country to have hit three home runs in a game this season.
Dean goes to 10-22 overall and finishes 3-13 in the GNAC. The team will play a few more non-conference games to conclude the season beginning on Thursday with a 3 p.m. contest at Curry. Albertus Magnus (9-20, 4-10 GNAC) travels to Gordon on Friday.
The Falcons had five singles in the first that led to a pair of runs. Freshman Troy Piascik (East Haven, Conn.) and junior Vance Ward (Norwalk, Conn.) each knocked in a run.
In the second inning, Paschetto began his afternoon with a 2-run homer over the left field fence to tie the game. Junior
Joey Bossinas (Ossining, N.Y.) scored on the play after leading off the inning with a double. Later in the frame, senior
Seth Cruz (East Freetown, Mass.) scored on an error. He reached on a bunt single and then stole second to set up the scoring chance.
The Bulldogs scored six times in the third to take a 9-2 lead. Two came around on a hit by Bossinas. He then scored for the second time in two innings on a Paschetto 2-run long ball to put Dean on top 7-2. Cruz scored again when first-year
Rylan Secovich (Southwick, Mass.) singled to left. Cruz got on with another single and stole another bag. Secovich then scored on a single by sophomore

Albertus Magnus got a run back in the fourth when Ward scored on a wild pitch after leading off with a double.
The Falcons kept clawing back in the fifth when they added their fourth run. Piascik recorded his second RBI single of the game.
Paschetto continued his hot day at the plate in the sixth inning when he cleared the bases with a grand slam to give Dean a 13-4 lead.
In the seventh, the Bulldogs added four more runs. Sophomore
Nick Amendolara (Bayville, N.Y.) had the big hit in the inning as he belted a 2-run home run for his first of his career.
The visitors plated a pair in the eighth to make the score 17-6.
Goss singled in Cruz, who scored his fourth run of the game, to give Dean an 18-6 margin.
Sophomore
Domenic Brazeau (Warwick, R.I.) went seven innings to earn the victory. He allowed four runs on 11 hits with seven strikeouts.

Tyler Giambra (Prospect, Conn.) each finished with three hits.
Ward went 3-for-5 to lead the Falcons.
