WALTHAM, Mass. - April 17, 2024 – The Dean College baseball team fell at Brandeis, 11-3, in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (7-19) travel to Gordon tomorrow for a twin bill beginning at 1 p.m.
The Judges scored three in the first and two in the second before Dean got on the board with two runs in the third on a bases loaded walk by sophomore
Nick Amendolara (Bayville, N.Y.) and a sac fly by senior
Kyle Lancaster (Dartmouth, Mass.).
Brandeis responded with a run in the bottom of the third, two in the fourth and three more in the fifth for an 11-2 lead.
The Bulldogs scored a third run in the sixth when senior
Seth Cruz (East Freetown, Mass.) singled home sophomore
Jacob Paschetto (East Longmeadow, Mass.).
Paschetto finished with two of the team's six hits in the ballgame. Cruz also scored a run and stole two bags.
Sophomore
Jacob Salvadore (Barre, Mass.) threw 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief on two hits for Dean.
