BOSTON, Mass.- The Dean College Bulldogs were defeated by the Emmanuel Saints, 6-0 on Wednesday in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play at Clemente Field.
Benjamin Anderson got the Saints on the board three minutes into the game, converting his second goal of the year, off an assist from
Aaron Picker, to give the hosts an early 1-0 lead. Dean kept the Saints off the scoreboard for the rest of the first half, despite a 10-3 shot advantage for the hosts, and entered the halftime break down only a goal.
In the second half, Emmanuel broke through. The Saints scored three minutes after halftime on an unassisted goal by
Nick Dipace. Emmanuel added two more, in the 54th and 60th minutes, off the feet of
Jacob Beck, his fifth of the season, and
Rafael Matamoros.Â
Late in the game, Emmanuel added two more to their tally, both goals by
Joey Soucy, to put the game out of reach.

Jake Godwin (Norwalk, Conn.) made four saves in 90 minutes of action. Sophomore
Nate Beturne (Ellington, Conn.) led the Bulldogs with two shots. Emmanuel held a 25-4 edge in shots and a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Dean (3-11-1 overall, 2-9-1 GNAC) is back in action on Friday when they host Regis College at 3 p.m. at Longley Field as a part of homecoming festivities.Â
