NEWTON, Mass. – January 2, 2024 – The Dean College men's basketball team lost a 97-69 game at Lasell that does not count towards the conference standings as the teams will meet later this month.
The Bulldogs (5-6) travel to the University of Maine-Farmington on Thursday for a 5 p.m. tip. Lasell (7-5) plays at Albertus Magnus on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Charles Walker (Princeton, N.C.) poured in a career-high 24 points to lead all players. Junior
Paris Smith (Chicago, Ill.) grabbed a game best 10 boards in his Dean debut.
Marcus Lewis led five Lasers in double figures with 18 points. Che Hanks added 17 points, while Andy Madesko finished with 14 points and a team best nine caroms.
Each team shot 43% in the first half, but Lasell made three more buckets and three more free throws to hold a 42-34 lead after 20 minutes. The Bulldogs controlled the glass with a 20-12 advantage in rebounding in the first frame. Madesko scored all 14 of his points in the first. Sophomore
Moussa Berete (Richmond, Va.) led Dean in the scoring column with eight points.
The Lasers were able to increase their lead by shooting 60% in the second half, while holding Dean to 37%. Hanks and Lewis combined for 25 points on 10-11 shooting for the Lasers, while Walker had 20 points on 6-9 shooting for Dean to lead all second half scorers.
