PAXTON, Mass. – April 21, 2023 – The Dean College men's lacrosse team earned a 13-6 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) road win at Anna Maria on Friday evening.
Dean (8-5, 4-5 GNAC) concludes the regular season on Tuesday with a 3:30 p.m. home game against Norwich.
Junior
Diego Alvarez-Segee (Saugus, Mass.) posted nine points on seven goals and two assists to lead Dean. Sophomore
Jason Richard (Holden, Mass.) scored a pair. Sophomore
Aidan McCarthy (Whitman, Mass.) recorded a goal and four assists.
Anna Maria (2-14, 1-8) received two goals each from Nathan Powers and Aiden Foster. Powers also picked up a game best nine ground balls.

James Rollins (Old Lyme, Conn.) finished with 15 saves to earn the win. Nicholas Lopez made 18 stops for the AMCATS.
The teams traded the first four goals of the game for a 2-2 tie after the opening quarter. Both of Dean's goals came from Alvarez-Segee on assists by McCarthy.
Anna Maria scored first in the second frame to take a 3-2 lead. Dean answered with goals by Alvarez-Segee and McCarthy to go on top by one. The AMCATS knotted the score at 4-4 with a goal at the 5:17 mark, but Richard found the back of the net two minutes later to give the Bulldogs a 5-4 lead heading into halftime.
Dean outscored Anna Maria 5-1 in the third to take control of the game. Alvarez-Segee scored four times in the quarter.
The Bulldogs followed a strong performance in the third by scoring the first three goals of the final quarter to take a 13-5 lead. Powers added a late goal for the AMCATS to make the final score 13-6.
