HARTFORD, Conn. - March 27, 2023 - The Dean College baseball team fell at Trinity, 21-8, in non-conference action Monday afternoon.

Senior Brian Dovidio (Ramsey, N.J.) went 4 for 5 to lead the Bulldogs at the plate. Sophomore Joey Bossinas (Ossining, N.Y.) was 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs. First-year Gavin Goss (Glenwood Landing, N.Y.) and first-year Jacob Paschetto (East Longmeadow, Mass.) each finished with a couple of hits.

Bossinas gave Dean a quick 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the first.

Trinity answered with a run in their first at-bat and added two more in the second.

Dean took a 4-3 lead by scoring three times in the third. First-year Spencer Lichstrahl (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) doubled in Dovidio then scored on a Kiefer Culligan (South Windsor, Conn.) triple. Culligan came around on a Goss single to center.

The Bantams tied the game at 4-4 with a run in the fourth and took the lead in the fifth with an unearned run.

In the sixth, Trinity erupted to score nine times on five hits and two errors to put the game out of reach.

Bossinas got three runs back in the seventh with a big fly over the left field wall.

The Bantams scored four times in the bottom of the seventh and three more in the eighth.

Dean got a run in the last to make the final 21-8.
