FRANKLIN, Mass. – March 21, 2023 – The Dean College men's lacrosse team was defeated by Lasell, 15-8, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Grant Field on Tuesday afternoon.
Dean (3-2, 0-2 GNAC) travels to Regis on Saturday for a 1 p.m. GNAC contest against the Pride. Lasell (4-4, 2-0 GNAC) hosts Anna Maria on Saturday at noon.
Junior
Alec Speirs (Old Lyme, Conn.) paced the Bulldogs with three goals and two assists. Senior
Greg Centeio (Fairhaven, Mass.) was next on the team with three points on a couple of goals and an assist.
Lasell was led by Jack Tauson's (Northbridge, Mass.) five goals. Junior Anthony DeRosa (Hudson, N.H.) contributed two goals and three assists, while Patrick Mullhern (Pembroke, Mass.) registered four scores.

James Rollins (Old Lyme, Conn.) had 10 saves in the loss. Lasell keeper Michael Catalano (Norwood, Mass.) finished with nine saves to secure the victory.
Lasell opened the game with a goal by Tauson, which was answered by senior
Christopher Wendt (Boonton, N.J.) 2:30 later. The Lasers scored three more times in the first frame to take a 4-1 lead after 15 minutes.
Tauson and Mullhern each scored a pair in the second to help Lasell build a 9-2 lead by halftime.
Dean didn't go quietly as the team turned in a strong performance in the third quarter to get back into the game. The Bulldogs outscored Lasell 6-2 to close the gap to 11-8 after 45 minutes. Speirs scored all three of his goals in the quarter.
The first 11+ minutes of the fourth went scoreless before Lasell was able to put the game away with four late goals by four different players to secure the 15-8 road win.
