BOSTON, Mass. – January 5, 2023 – The Dean College women's basketball team fell at Emmanuel, 106-30, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest Thursday evening. 

Dean (0-9, 0-5 GNAC) finishes a three-game week on Saturday with a noon tip at Elms. Emmanuel (8-4, 3-1 GNAC) travels to Norwich on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Sophomore Tori Viau (Johnston, R.I.) scored 14 points to record double figures for the seventh time this season for the Bulldogs. Sophomore Amani Pressley (Long Island, N.Y.) was 3-of-5 for six points. First-year Aya Medina (Lawrence, Mass.) made both of her shot attempts for four points in 10 minutes of action. 

Emmanuel received game-highs of 17 points and nine rebounds from Desiree Robinson. 

The Saints jumped out to a 26-4 in the first quarter. 

Dean then put 13 on the board in the second on 50% shooting, but Emmanuel shot 58% to score 31 to lead 57-17 at the half. 

The home team continued its efficient shooting in the second half (56.4%) to help outscore Dean 49-13 in the final two quarters.
