FRANKLIN, Mass. – January 28, 2023 – The Dean College women's basketball team fell to Lasell, 68-40, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Saturday afternoon contest inside Pieri Gymnasium.
Dean (0-17, 0-12 GNAC) hits the road on Tuesday for a 5:30 p.m. tip at Johnson & Wales. Lasell (4-14, 3-8 GNAC) travels to Elms for a 7 p.m. contest on Tuesday.
Sophomore
Tori Viau (Johnston, R.I.) led the Bulldogs with 13 points. Sophomore
Cat Thomas (Woodbridge, Conn.) finished with four points, six rebounds and four steals. Sophomore
Amani Pressley (Long Island, N.Y.) grabbed a team best seven rebounds.
Lasell sophomore Juju Nealy (Fitchburg, Mass.) poured in a game best 18 points on 9-of-14 shooting. She added five steals. Sophomore Jasmine DePina (Providence, R.I.) filled the stat sheet with eight points, a game-high nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks.

st Quarter
- Lasell jumped out to a 12-1 run behind 10 points from Nealy.
- The Lasers shot 10-of-19 and scored 18 of their 20 points in the paint.
- Viau had five of Dean's 11 points in the quarter.
- The Bulldogs went 6-of-8 from the free throw line.

nd Quarter
- The Lasers had a 10-8 edge in scoring in the second quarter to be on top 30-19 at the half.
- DePina scored six for Lasell, while Caitlin Cooper (Amherst, N.H.) had four for Dean.
- The Bulldogs added four more free throws to finish the half 10-of-16 from the charity stripe.

rd Quarter
- Lasell continued to control the paint by scoring 14 of the 20 third-quarter points down low.
- Viau was 2-of-3 from the field to finish the third frame with another five points.
- Carly Rettberg (Haddam, Conn.) scored four points from the free throw line for Dean.

th Quarter
- The visitors added another 14 points in the paint in the final 10 minutes.
- Lasell outscored Dean 18-9.
- The Bulldogs shot 42.9%, while Lasell was 50% from the field.
- Dean ended the game with a 43-41 advantage in rebounding.
