BOSTON, Mass. – September 24, 2022 – The Dean College women's soccer team played a hard fought Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest but was edged by Emmanuel 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Dean (1-4-2, 0-3-1 GNAC) returns home on Wednesday to host Johnson & Wales at 3:30 p.m. Emmanuel (7-1-1, 3-1 GNAC) hosts Saint Joseph's on Wednesday.
Emmanuel first-year forward Sarah Dullaghan (Belmont, Mass.) was responsible for the game's lone goal. She finished a cross from junior teammate Addie LeGault (Farmington, Mass.) in the 36th minute.
Dean's best chance to knot the game came in the 69th minute, but
Lea Bettencourt's (Peabody, Mass.) game-tying bid went just wide of the goal.

Lexi Gerow (Pownal, Vt.) kept the Bulldogs close with 10 saves. Patricia Kirejczyk (Ansonia, Conn.) and Sandra Griffith (Roland, Ark.) combined for the shutout. Kirejczyk earned the win with 64 minutes of work, while Griffith played the remaining 26 minutes.
