NEW LONDON, N.H. – September 17, 2022 – The Dean College field hockey team played its second consecutive game against Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tournament finalists from a year ago with a Saturday game at Colby-Sawyer. The Chargers came away with a 9-1 victory.
Dean (0-4, 0-2 GNAC) steps out of conference on Tuesday for a road game at Bridgewater State. Colby-Sawyer (5-1, 2-0 GNAC) plays at Thomas College tomorrow.
In her collegiate debut, first-year
Sydnee Ramos (New Bedford, Mass.) was responsible for Dean's lone goal. She converted a penalty stroke with less than two minutes to play in the third quarter.
Calie Sorenson scored three times, while Aoife Daly and Aleah Murph had two goals apiece to lead Colby-Sawyer.

Mackenzie Fillion (New Bedford, Mass.) posted 16 saves for the second game in a row. Carly Bernard allowed one goal and made one save in 45 minutes, while Lauren Wilkinson played the first quarter.
