Bulldogs Downed by Bridgewater State, 3-0

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – September 20, 2022 – The Dean College field hockey team dropped a 3-0 non-conference road game to Bridgewater State on Tuesday afternoon.  

Dean (0-5) resumes Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Saturday with an 11 a.m. contest at Regis. Bridgewater State (1-4) plays at Anna Maria on Thursday at 6 p.m.

The home team got on the board 3:27 into the game when Lexi James (Ipswich, Mass.) found the back of the cage with her first goal. Senior Hannah Rolfe (Easton, Mass.) was credited with the assist.

The middle two quarters went scoreless before Bridgewater State added a pair of goals in the fourth. Junior Zoe Bergeron (Blackstone, Mass.) and senior Sophia Morse (West Bridgewater, Mass.) had the tallies for the Bears.

Dean junior goalie Mackenzie Fillion (New Bedford, Mass.) allowed three goals and made eight saves. Madelyne Guidaboni (Hanson, Mass.) earned the win in goal for the Bears.
