STANDISH, Maine - April 9, 2022 - The Dean College women's lacrosse team was defeated by Saint Joseph's, 19-6, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) road game Saturday afternoon.
Dean dips to 3-8 overall and 3-6 in conference action. The team returns home next Saturday to host Emmanuel at 10 a.m. Saint Joseph's remains unbeaten at 11-0 overall and sit atop the GNAC standings with a 7-0 record.

Natalie Peterson (Hudson, Mass.) led the Bulldogs with three points on two goals and one assist. First-year
Nina Medeiros (Fairhaven, Mass.) also scored twice to go with four draw controls, three ground balls and a couple of caused turnovers. Junior
Jazzy Sztyler-Magee (Burlington, Conn.) added a goal, four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. First-year
Haley Gaunt (Johnston, R.I.) contributed one goal and two ground balls.
Carson Battaglia led 10 Monk scorers with four goals. Lydia Dexter had eight assists to go with a pair of goals.
Senior
Jordyn McKenney (Nashua, N.H.) made six saves in her first appearance in goal for the Bulldogs. Morgan Wright earned the win for the Monks with one save and one goal allowed in the first half. Mackenzie Baston worked the second half and gave up five goals with four saves.
The Monks scored 10 goals in the first and six in the second before Sztyler-Magee got Dean on the board. Bridget Collins scored in the final seconds of the half to give Saint Joseph's a 17-1 lead after 30 minutes.
Dean outscored the home team 3-1 in the third quarter and then 2-1 in the fourth quarter to make the final 19-6.
