FRANKLIN, Mass. – April 2, 2022 - The Dean College women's lacrosse team set a program record for goals in a game in Saturday's 25-20 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory over Lasell.
Dean improves to 3-6 overall and 3-4 in the GNAC standings. The Bulldogs host Simmons on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Lasell falls to 3-6 overall and 2-4 in the conference. The Lasers host Regis on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Maire Brown (Huntington, N.Y.) set program records with 13 points and 11 goals to lead the Bulldogs. She added a game best five caused turnovers to go with nine ground balls. Junior
Jazzy Sztyler-Magee (Burlington, Conn.) contributed seven points on five goals and two assists. Junior
Allie Bezio (Wellfleet, Mass.) finished with four goals and an assist. First-year
Nina Medeiros (Fairhaven, Mass.) registered a hat trick and a game-high 11 ground balls. First-year
Natalie Peterson (Hudson, Mass.) chipped in with a pair of goals and a team best nine draw controls.
Senior Sydney Brady (Westfield, Mass.) led Lasell with eight points on seven goals and an assist. Senior Sophia Gadsden (Randolph, Mass.) and sophomore Teresa Kessner (Brentwood, N.Y.) added five goals apiece. Junior Emily Chapdelaine (East Longmeadow, Mass.) tallied a game best 10 draw controls.

Jada Fields (Acushnet, Mass.) had eight saves in the win. Senior Devin Zambruno (Plympton, Mass.) made a season-high 26 saves for Lasell.
Sztyler-Magee scored the first three goals of the game to help Dean to a 10-5 lead after the first quarter.
Brown had three goals in the second quarter as the Bulldogs added to their lead to take a 16-7 advantage into the halftime break.
Lasell began the third quarter with five-straight, three by Kessner and two by Brady, to pull within 16-12. Dean responded by scoring five of the next seven goals, including the final three of the frame to lead 21-14 after 45 minutes.
Gadsden began the fourth quarter with a couple of goals for the Lasers to cut the deficit to 21-16. Brown got the momentum back for the Bulldogs with a couple of goals to help Dean put the game out of reach. The Lasers scored the last three goals of the game, but Dean secured the 25-20 victory.
