LEWISTON, Maine - April 13, 2022 - The Dean College baseball team fell at Bates, 28-12, after the game was called in the eighth inning due to darkness.
Dean drops to 7-17 and is scheduled to resume Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at home on Saturday against Johnson & Wales. Bates goes to 6-16 and hosts Colby on Friday at 3 p.m.
Bates scored four times in the first before the Bulldogs got on the board with a pair in the second.

The Bobcats quickly responded with 13 runs in the bottom of the fifth and then added seven more runs in the sixth on their way to the 28-12 win. After Dean batted in the top of the eighth, the game was called.
Senior
Josh Cerretani (Peabody, Mass.) went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. Lilja finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Junior
Brayden McLaughlin (Forest Grove, Ore.) had a good day at the plate with a 3-for-4 effort with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Tyler McAloon (Berkley, Mass.) threw 2.2 innings of relief with one unearned on two hits.
