PAXTON, Mass. – February 7, 2022 – The Dean College women's basketball team played its fourth game in seven days with a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest at Anna Maria. The AMCATS came away with an 83-41 victory Monday evening.
Dean (2-12, 0-10 GNAC) returns home on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. game against Rivier. Anna Maria (3-15, 2-10 GNAC) will host Saint Joseph's (ME) on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Alexah Potter (East Hartford, Conn.) and first-year
Tori Viau (Johnston, R.I.) each scored 13 points to lead the Dean scoring attack. Potter recorded her sixth double-double of the season by grabbing 14 rebounds. First-year
Catherine Thomas (Woodbridge, Conn.) collected 10 rebounds to help the Bulldogs hold 57-48 advantage on the glass.
Franchesca Hammond and Marinique Reddin led five AMCATS in double figures with 16 points apiece. Reddin flirted with a quadruple-double as she added 14 rebounds, eight assists and eight steals.
The Bulldogs shot 44.4% (4-9) in the first, but Anna Maria made 12 buckets and led 29-11 after 10 minutes.
The second quarter was more evenly played with the home team holding a 16-15 edge on the scoreboard. Dean made seven field goals to Anna Maria's six, but half of the AMCATS' makes were from beyond the arc.
Anna Maria added to its lead with a 15-7 margin in the third and closed out the game in strong fashion with a 23-8 advantage in the fourth to account for the 83-41 final.
