FRANKLIN, Mass.. – February 15, 2022 – The Dean College women's basketball team fell to Albertus Magnus, 78-34, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Tuesday night.
Dean (2-15, 0-13 GNAC) travels to Elms on Thursday at 7 p.m. Albertus Magnus (16-8, 15-2 GNAC) will resume action next week in the GNAC postseason.
First-year
Tori Andrewski (North Sutton, N.H.) lead Dean with eight points and eight rebounds. Senior
Sitaara Muhammad (Cambridge, Mass.) had five points and eight rebounds. Junior
Alexah Potter (East Hartford, Conn.) added seven points.
Sophomore Amanda Zdru (Stratford, Conn.) scored a game-high 23 points on 9-11 shooting for the Falcons. Sophomore Carsyn Langhorn (Norwalk, Conn.) scored 19 points while sophomore Caitlyn Scott (White Plains, N.Y.) added 17 points.
Albertus Magnus started the game on a 10-3 run. The Falcons outscored Dean 7-2 in the final five minutes of the first quarter to lead 17-5 after one. The visitors shot 61.5%.
In a high scoring second quarter, both teams shot over 43%. Langhorn led the Falcons with 10 points, while Andrewski had six points for the Bulldogs. Albertus Magnus led 39-20 at the half.
Albertus Magnus added to their lead in the 3rd and 4th quarters by shooting 8-13 from long range.
