WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - February 1, 2022 - The Dean College women's basketball team fell to the University of Saint Joseph, 62-32, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Tuesday evening.
Dean (2-9, 0-7 GNAC) will play its second of three games this week on Thursday at Johnson & Wales. USJ improves to 11-7 overall and 7-4 in the conference.

Catherine Thomas (Woodbridge, Conn.) led Dean in the scoring column with 10 points. First-year
Tori Andrewski (North Sutton, N.H.) contributed eight points and a game best 11 rebounds. First-year
Maranda Cournoyer (Millville, Mass.) added seven points on 3-3 shooting.
Jordan Oullette led the Blue Jays with 14 points. Amanda Fudge and Janai Oliver had 10 points apiece.
The Blue Jays shot their way to a 28-4 lead after the first quarter. USJ made 12-of-22 shot attempts and held Dean to 2-of-6 from the floor. Fudge and Oullette each scored eight points in the frame.
The second quarter was evenly played with each team scoring 12 points.
In the third, both teams struggled to find the range offensively leading to a 9-7 scoring margin for the Blue Jays.
USJ added to its lead with a 13-9 discrepancy in the fourth en route to the 62-32 victory.
USJ shot 37.3% (28-75), while Dean shot 35.9% (14-39).
