CHICOPEE, Mass. – October 8, 2022 – The Dean College men's soccer team suffered a 4-2 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) loss at Elms College on Saturday.
Dean (4-6-1, 2-5-1 GNAC) returns home on Wednesday to host Albertus Magnus. Elms improves to 4-8 overall and 2-5 in the GNAC.
Elms scored twice in the first half to be on top by a couple after 45 minutes. The game's first goal came via a penalty kick by Musa Jiana in the 31st minute. Noah Jaques doubled the Elms lead with 1:51 left to play in the half.
The Bulldogs cut the deficit in half with 15 minutes left in the contest when first-year

Luke Palmer (Windsor Locks, Conn.) scored the equalizer on an assist from junior
Reinorf Kusi (Malden, Mass.).
Elms answered the Dean goal, 1:08 later, with a score from Brandyn Costa. The Blazers added a late insurance goal with Jiana's second tally of the game with less than five minutes remaining.

Alberto Gonzalez Del Rio (Madrid, Spain) allowed four goals and made four saves. Collin Liedke had six saves in the win.
The Bulldogs held a 21-10 advantage in shots with each team getting eight on target. Dean also posted an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.
