FRANKLIN, Mass. – October 16, 2022 – The Dean College field hockey team dropped a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game to Rivier, 4-0, at Grant Field on Sunday during homecoming weekend.
Prior to today's game, Dean honored seniors
Sierra Cardenas (Warwick, R.I.),
Zoe Coleman (Warwick, R.I.),
Jada Fields (Acushnet, Mass.) and
Alex Marie (Danvers, Mass.) for their years of dedication to Dean and the field hockey program.
Dean (0-13, 0-8 GNAC) welcomes the University of Saint Joseph on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Rivier (6-7, 5-3 GNAC) plays at Anna Maria on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Raiders struck with 13 seconds left to go in the first quarter on a Kayla Miles (Londonderry, N.H.) goal in traffic close to the cage.
In the second quarter, Rivier received goals from Jacklyn O'Connor (Westford, Mass.) and Madison Bovill (Tyngsborough, Mass.).
After a scoreless third quarter, the visitors tacked on a fourth goal in the fourth. Senior Grace Pierce (Barre, Vt.) redirected a pass from O'Connor to notch her fourth goal of the season.

Mackenzie Fillion (New Bedford, Mass.) had 13 saves for the Bulldogs. Sophomore Kylie Coupal (Derry, N.H.) played the first half, while freshman Lily Gifford (Westport, Mass.) made one save in the final 30 minutes of action.
