NEWTON, Mass. - December 11, 2021 - The Dean College women's basketball team fell at Lasell, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest Saturday afternoon to conclude first semester action.
Dean dips to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the GNAC. The Bulldogs will resume play in January. Lasell improves to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Alexah Potter (East Hartford, Conn.) turned in a 20-point, 16-rebound performance to lead Dean.
Shania Springer (Brooklyn, N.Y.) contributed seven points, while
Catherine Thomas (Woodbridge, Conn.) grabbed 11 rebounds.
Lasell received 17 points apiece from Juju Nealy and Meg Carroll. Mia Sullivan-Sanders added 16 points in 24 minutes off the bench.
The Lasers led 17-10 after 10 minutes and never looked back. The home team increased its lead at the break to 41-21. Lasell added to the advantage with a 19-13 margin in the third and ended the contest with a 15-11 fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs had a 51-49 edge in rebounding, while Lasell turned 31 Dean miscues into 31 points.
