NEW LONDON, N.H. - October 8, 2021 - The Dean College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match at Colby-Sawyer Friday evening. The Chargers won by scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-14.
Dean falls to 3-12 overall and 1-5 in the conference. The Bulldogs will conclude a busy week with a 1 p.m. first serve against Regis on Sunday in Pieri Gymnasium. Colby-Sawyer improves to 8-10 overall and 2-2 in the GNAC. The Chargers travel to Regis on Tuesday.
Sari Albury led the Dean offense with four kills, while
Jenny Galley and
Janai Price contributed three apiece. Annabella Driscoll registered seven assists, and seven digs. Senior Bulldog
Amanda Payne picked up a match best 13 digs.
Colby-Sawyer junior Olivia Werner (Williston, VT.) posted a match-high 13 kills to go with four digs. Ameesah Cotten (Newburgh, N.Y.) led the Charger defense with six total blocks, while Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) registered 21 assists to go along with three blocks. First-year Makaila Blinne (Palm Bay, FL.) had four kills in one set of action.
