NORTHFIELD, Vt. - October 13, 2021 - The Dean College women's soccer team fell at Norwich, 3-1, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest Wednesday afternoon.
Norwich improves to 3-8 overall and 2-8 in the conference. The Cadets play at Emmanuel on Saturday. Dean falls to 3-6-2 overall and 3-6 in GNAC action. The Bulldogs hit the road on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match at Albertus Magnus.
The Bulldogs got on the board first in the 4th minute when senior
Miranda Seacord (Cambridge, N.Y.) finished a pass from first-year
Nicole Seidell (Enfield, Conn.).
Norwich tied the score, 30 minutes later, with a goal from Sarah Rucci to send the match into the halftime break knotted at 1-1.
The home team went in front, less than three minutes into the second half, when Antonia Pelton finished a feed from Celine Juneau for her first goal of the season.
The Cadets added an insurance goal in the 55th minute with Rucci's second of the contest.

Haley Gaunt (Johnston, R.I.) finished with 11 saves. Rebecca Karis allowed one goal and stopped four shots in the first half, while Kim Watt had four saves in a scoreless second half for the Cadets.
