Chris Redding enters his first season in 2025 with the bulldogs, serving as Defensive Coordinator & Recruiting Coordinator.

Previously, Redding was a high school head football coach and former NCAA Division I player and coach, with a strong reputation for program development, student-athlete mentorship, and leadership both on and off the field. In his most recent role, Coach Redding served as the inaugural Head Football Coach at Ballantyne Ridge High School in Charlotte, NC. There, he was responsibile for building a football program from the ground up in one of the largest school districts in North Carolina. His efforts helped student-athletes land several NCAA Division I offers from schools such as the University of Cincinnati and Virigina Tech University.

Chris began his coaching career at the collegiate level, serving as Assistant Football Coach and Special Teams Analyst at the University at Albany, where he coached wide receivers and contributed to recruiting and game planning in the competitive Colonial Athletic Association.

Prior to Ballantyne Ridge, Chris led Phillip O. Berry Academy's football program, achieving notable academic and athletic gains including a 37% GPA improvement and a 100% graduation rate among his athletes. His high school coaching experience also includes successful tenures at Ardrey Kell High School—where he helped the team achieve back-to-back conference titles—and roles with the Queen City Senior Bowl.

A former wide receiver at the University of New Hampshire, Chris played under award-winning coaches and helped lead the team to two national semifinal appearances. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management and Policy with minors in Business Administration and Sports Studies.

Off the field, Chris is the Executive Director and Owner of the Vermont All-Star Football Camp, where he leads a team of 30+ coaches and provides training opportunities for hundreds of student-athletes each year. His passion for football, leadership, and community development makes him a standout figure in youth and high school sports.
