Former Dean two-sport star Anthony Baskerville '10 returns for the sixth season of his second stint as offensive coordinator with the Bulldogs in 2020.
The 2019 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Assistant Coach of the Year, Baskerville was the mastermind behind the league's most explosive offense, which averaged 28.1 points for the second straight season and posted more than 400 yards per game.
Under Baskerville's direction, the Dean offense averaged 28.1 points per game in 2018, including topping 40 points on four seperate occassions. He played a vital role in the development of 2018 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Rookie of the Year, Terrell Watts, who threw for nearly 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games a season ago.
In addition to his role as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Baskerville oversees football equipment operations for the program and serves as an advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
He previously spent three seasons (2012-15) as the wide receivers coach at Dean under all-time winningest coach and former Director of Athletics, Todd Vasey.
During the 2015 season, Baskerville was the receivers coach at Division II University of New Haven when the Chargers went 7-4 and advanced to the Northeast-10 Championship.
Baskerville played both football and basketball at Dean during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, earning second-team all-region honors.
After his two seasons at Dean, Baskerville went on to Division I University of Rhode Island where he emerged as one of the best wide receivers in the Colonial Athletic Conference.
In his first campaign with the Rams in 2010, he was named a third-team All-CAA selection after ranking in the top ten in the league in receptions per game, finishing with 48 catches overall for 500 yards and three touchdowns.
He followed up that impressive season with a second-team All-CAA selection in 2011 after leading the league in yards per reception (15.9), finishing third in receiving yards (731), touchdown grabs (7) and was named All-New England by the New England Football Writers Association.
In two seasons with the Rams, he saw action in 22 contests and finished with 94 catches for 1,231 yards and ten touchdowns.
On the basketball court, Baskerville appeared in 16 contests during the 2010-11 season as the Rams won 20 games for the fourth consecutive season.
Baskerville is a 2012 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
