Megan M. Gutierrez, M.Ed. is entering her 4th season with the Bulldogs as the Head Field Hockey Coach at Dean College. Gutierrez also fulfills roles at Dean as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Athletics, Assistant Sports Information Director, adjunct professor, and NCAA Field Hockey Region One Advisory Committee / Site Representative.
Over the past three seasons, Gutierrez has made incredible growth for her Field Hockey program, breaking every record in the school's record book. Since her start in 2022, she has brought in a total of 28 recruited student-athletes across 12 different states. She brought the bulldogs to the program's first playoff berth this past fall, landing the 8th seed in the GNAC tournament. Coaching some incredible talent, also was awarded with the programs first all-conference honor with Emily Yazzetti taking home GNAC 2nd team all-conference in 2024. While improving each season, the bulldogs have a very bright future ahead with Gutierrez at the helm.
With a Master’s in Education from Albright College and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, Megan brings a well-rounded, student-centered approach to her leadership. She has a demonstrated track record of recruiting and developing high-performing student-athletes, ensuring academic eligibility, and fostering personal growth through leadership programming.
Megan's coaching career includes positions at Albright College, Cedar Crest College, and a wide array of field hockey clubs and camps across the country. She is actively involved in NCAA governance and national coaching organizations, serving on multiple committees, including the NFHCA All-Region Committee and the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee for Division III Field Hockey. In the spring of 2025, she was selected to go to the NCAA national office to represent Dean College at the 2025 NCAA Inclusion Forum.
Her professional credentials include certifications in leadership facilitation, bystander intervention, and field hockey coaching. Megan is also a recipient of the Women Leaders in College Sports Symposium Scholarship and multiple athletic honors from her time as a collegiate athlete.
Known for her collaborative spirit and passion for mentoring, Gutierrez continues to advocate for student-athletes on and off the field, blending athletics, academics, and leadership into a transformative collegiate experience.
