Erin Johnson enters her 4th season with the Bulldogs, serving as their Assistant Coach. She joined the Dean College field hockey staff as an Assistant Coach in July 2022.
The Shrewsbury, Massachusetts native attended Worcester State where she played defense for the field hockey team. Johnson was a team captain in high school and led her team to the Central Mass. semifinals. She qualified for the Massachusetts High School Field Hockey All-Star game at Bentley and continued her career playing for Worcester State College as a defender.
She has helped the bulldogs immensely on and off the field, focusing on their defensive strategies and being a crucial part of the program's growth and success.
Johnson has played on USA Field Hockey Futures teams and programs and participated in other programs such as Cape Cod Classic and Bay State Games. She still enjoys playing in various field hockey leagues in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Off the field, Johnson is an amateur strongman competitor and amateur power lifter.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Anna Maria College in 2021 and works as an Emergency Room Nurse and Forensic Nurse. Johnson also serves as a member on the Disaster Medical Assistance Team MA-2. Johnson is currently obtaining a master’s degree in Forensic Science at Fitchburg State University.
