FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Dean College baseball team combined for 16 hits on Tuesday afternoon, taking down Colby-Sawyer College in a crucial 12-2 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory. With the win, Dean split the doubleheader with the Chargers and improved to 11-5 (3-3 GNAC). Meanwhile, Colby-Sawyer moved to 5-11 (1-3 GNAC).

How it Happened:
-The Chargers scored first in the top of the second inning. Jesse Chaves laced a single into right field, and Noah Staffier came around to score.
-However, the Bulldogs boastfully responded in the bottom half.
Case LaChance (Latham, N.Y.) started the rally with an RBI single, tying the game at one.
Kyler Lorenz (East Providence, R.I.) then followed with another RBI single, scoring LaChance. After two consecutive walks from pitcher Dylan Watson as well, Dean led 4-1 after two innings.
-LaChance came through with another RBI in the third inning, this time scoring
Nick Amendolara (Bayville, N.Y.).
-Colby-Sawyer cut into the Dean lead in the fifth inning. Devin Montalvo scored on a wild pitch, making it 5-2 going into the bottom of the inning.
-As they had throughout the entirety of the game, Dean responded yet again.
Tyler Giambra (Prospect, Conn.) roped an RBI double into left field, making it 6-2.
-Swain's magical run on the mound ended in the seventh inning. He threw over 130 pitches, allowing just one earned run.
Philip Curran (West Springfield, Mass.) entered in relief, forcing a double play to end the inning.

Gavin Goss (Glenwood Landing, N.Y.) smacked another RBI in the seventh, making it 9-2 in favor of Dean.
-Dean closed out the game in the bottom of the eighth inning. After both Lorenz and Giambra reached base, Paschetto launched an emphatic three-run home run to end the game. Dean won due to the run rule by a final score of 12-2.
