FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – After a combined 50 hits and 39 runs scored, the Dean College baseball team outslugged Framingham State University on Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 21-18. With the win, the Bulldogs moved to 19-13 overall, while the Rams sunk to 8-23.
Notables:
-With their 21 runs scored, the baseball team officially broke their program record for most runs scored in a single game. The record was previously broken on April 6
th of this year in a 20-4 victory against Elms College.

How it Happened
-Dean exploded out of the gates in the first inning, erupting for seven runs. RBI hits from
Luke Fahey (Glastonbury, Conn.),
Colin Favata (Syosset, N.Y.), and
Jayden Leveille (Longmeadow, Mass.) gave the Bulldogs a commanding early lead.
-The Bulldogs kept the pressure on in the second and third innings, adding three more runs behind an RBI from
Tyler Giambra (Prospect, Conn.) and a run-producing groundout by
Jacob Paschetto (East Longmeadow, Mass.) to make it 10–3.
-Framingham State responded with a massive seven-run fourth inning, tying the game at 10–10 and swinging momentum.
-Dean answered immediately in the fifth inning, putting together the decisive rally of the game with nine runs. Fahey launched a three-run home run, Favata added an RBI double, and
Nick Amendolara (Bayville, N.Y.) and Paschetto each drove in runs to reclaim a 19–11 lead.
-The Bulldogs continued to add insurance in the sixth inning, as Leveille ripped his second double of the game to extend the advantage to 20–12.
-Framingham State continued to battle, scoring in the seventh and rallying again in the ninth inning with multiple extra-base hits to cut into the deficit.
-Dean added a key insurance run in the ninth, as Amendolara delivered an RBI double to make it 21–14, which proved critical down the stretch.
-Despite a late push by the Rams, the Bulldogs held on, with
JR Salvadore (Barre, Mass.) providing extended relief to help close out the high-scoring contest.
-Dean's offense totaled 26 hits, showcasing production throughout the lineup in the win.
