PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Dean College football team was shutout in their week five Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) contest at Plymouth State University on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 14-0. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 0-4 (0-4 MASCAC), while the Panthers climb to 2-2 (1-2 MASCAC).

How it Happened:
-Plymouth State opened the scoring late in the first quarter, capping an 11-play, 59-yard drive with an 8-yard touchdown pass from Rocky Marchitelli to Reece Davis at 8:44. Ryan Bryant added the extra point to give the Panthers a 7-0 lead.
-Dean's defense kept the game within reach, holding Plymouth State scoreless throughout the second and third quarters. The Bulldogs limited the Panthers to 245 yards of total offense and forced a turnover. Defensive back Jamal Palmer (Reading, Mass.) intercepted a pass and briefly returned it for one yard.
-The Bulldogs continued to work offensively behind quarterback Chris Donohue (Brewster, N.Y.), who completed 23 of 28 passes for 127 yards without an interception. Donohue also led Dean on the ground with 53 net rushing yards on 26 carries, finishing with 180 yards of combined passing and rushing.
-Dean moved the ball for 203 total yards and controlled possession for 33:56. However, the Bulldogs were unable to convert their opportunities into points. Dean finished 4-for-8 on fourth-down attempts and reached the red zone three times without scoring.
-Plymouth State added an insurance touchdown with 5:50 remaining in the fourth quarter. Jayden Graham scored on a 3-yard run to extend the lead to 14-0. The Panthers' defense held firm the rest of the way to preserve the shutout.
-Jomar Lopes (Pawtucket, R.I.) led Dean's receiving corps with six catches for 54 yards, while Darrion Kimball (Milford, N.H.) hauled in seven passes for 34 yards.
