Donohue and Passing Offense Shine Again; Football Defeated in MASCAC Matchup with Bridgewater State, 55-18

FRANKLIN, Mass. – The air raid attack shined once again for the Dean College football team. The Bulldogs collected nearly 250 receiving yards of offense, but ultimately fell short in their week seven matchup with Bridgewater State University. The 55-18 loss puts Dean at 1-5 (1-4 MASCAC) on the year, while the Bears improved to 5-1 (4-1 MASCAC).

How it Happened:
- Bridgewater State established control early, scoring twice in the first quarter to take a 13-0 lead.
-Dean responded in the second quarter when junior running back Yasir Moses (Daytona Beach, Fla.) capped a 68-yard drive with a six-yard touchdown run. The extra point was unsuccessful, leaving the Bulldogs trailing 13-6.
-Bridgewater State answered with three rushing touchdowns before halftime to extend their advantage to 34-6.
-The Bears added another touchdown in the third quarter before Dean found the end zone through the air. Quarterback Chris Donohue (Brewster, N.Y.) connected with senior Darrion Kimball (Milford, N.H.) on a 12-yard touchdown pass with 2:52 remaining in the period. The two-point conversion attempt failed, making it 41-12.
-Dean continued to battle in the fourth quarter. Donohue led a 65-yard scoring drive, completing a 48-yard pass to Da'Qwon Foster (Providence, R.I.) before finding Tay Sholtz (Liverpool, N.Y.) for a seven-yard touchdown.
-Bridgewater State added one final rushing score to secure the 55-18 victory.
-Donohue completed 20 of 34 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Foster led Dean's receiving corps with six catches for 113 yards, while Sholtz finished with five receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown. Kimball added four catches for 45 yards and a touchdown, and Moses led the Bulldogs on the ground with 41 rushing yards and a score.
