Box Score Newton, MA- The Dean College men's soccer team competed in a regular season match versus Division I Boston College on Wednesday, September 10th. This was the first time in program history that men's soccer has played an NCAA Division I opponent and the first time Dean has played versus Boston College.
How It Happened:
The Bulldogs were able to secure multiple opportunities against the ACC powerhouse. In the sixteenth minute, Dean secured a crucial corner kick, allowing for an opportunity close to the box. However, the Eagles were able to stop the chance, holding the score to 0-1.
Through the match, Dean's goalkeepers were also able to make consistent saves. Senior
Jake Godwin (Norwalk, CT) impressed with the high shot volume he faced. He also had an impressive sliding save with first-year
Liam Coon (Columbia, MO). Their simultaneous slide kept the box clean and a goal off the board for Boston College. First-year
Noah Amaral (Westport, MA) took over for Godwin late in the second half, making two saves in his appearance.
