Winthrop, MA- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced Monday morning that the Dean College Sports Medicine staff has earned Co-GNAC Athletic Training Staff of the Year honors. The distinction was a part of the 2024-25 GNAC Administrative Awards, recognizing the conference's standout administrators and staff members.

Over the course of the athletic calendar, the Sports Medicine staff remained diligent in ensuring that all student-athletes received the best care possible. The staff played a pivotal role in rehabilitation efforts, injury care, and even life-saving situations.

Former staff member Kevin Roberts was also honored by the town of Franklin for his efforts during an incident earlier in the year.

Captained by Director of Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning Chris Noyes, the Sports Medicine staff of Jared Ferreira, Colleen Fussell, Cy Butler, and the aforementioned Kevin Roberts, continue to support all athletes in Dean's 17 athletic programs, as well as their respective support staff members.

This marks the first time the staff has earned this honor since joining the GNAC. They share the distinction with the sports medicine staff from Rivier University.
