Franklin, MA- The Dean College Department of Athletics & Recreation is pleased to announce the hiring of Lauren Richards as its newest Athletic Trainer.

Richards joins Bulldog Nation after spending one year as a Rehabilitation Technician at Orthopaedics Plus Physical Therapy. There, she educated patients on rehabilitation strategies and provided changes as needed. She also assisted in both administrative and technical-related tasks.

Before joining the staff at Orthopaedics Plus, Richards was an Athletic Training Student at Lakewood High School, located in St. Petersburg, Florida. She specialized in emergency care for all student-athletes. This included taping, brace application, and on-field care. She also conducted thorough injury evaluations and provided the proper rehabilitation schedules based on her findings.

"We're thrilled to have Lauren on-board," Director of Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning Chris Noyes expressed. "She is an excellent addition to our team and will help provide thorough care to our student-athlete community."

Richards obtained her bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Tampa. During her undergraduate studies, she served as an Athletic Training Student for both the Women's Volleyball and Beach Volleyball teams.

After graduation, she obtained both her Board-Certified Athletic Training License (ATC) and Massachusetts Athletic Training License (LAT).

Richards currently resides in Westford, Massachusetts.
