Women's Basketball Explodes for Historic Victory Over Fisher

Franklin, MA- After an offensive explosion through all four quarters, the Dean College Women's Basketball team made history on Thursday night, defeating Fisher College by a final score of 141-12 inside Pieri Gymnasium. With the victory, the Bulldogs improve to a four-game winning streak (5-6 overall), while the Falcons drop to 0-10 on the year. 

How it Happened & Scoring Highlights:
-The Bulldogs shutout the Falcons in two different quarters, marking the first time this season they have held an opponent to zero points in a single frame. 
-Senior Abigail Lacy (Arroyo Grande, CA) posted 22 points in the first half, marking a new carer-high in first half points. 
-Azaria Landry (Lacey, WA) was named deanbulldogs.com Player of the Game after posting a career-high 32 points, along with 8 steals and 7 total rebounds. 
-Junior Jordan Ellis (Bridgeport, CT) was one of Dean's top contributors in the second half, scoring 9 points and 9 rebounds through the final two frames. She finished the game with a double-double, including 20 points offensively. 
-First-year Hallie Stokes (Windermere, FL) could not stopped from behind the arch. She finished 4-5 on three-pointers in the first half, ultimately ending the game with a 50 percent three-point efficiency.
