Fitchburg, MA- The Dean College Men's Basketball team was defeated by Fitchburg State University on Friday night by a final score of 81-93. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 2-1 on the season, while the Falcons improve to 3-0.
How it Happened:
-The Bulldogs would be the ones to strike first in the opening half.
Naser Motley (Everett, WA) would continue his momentum with a quick jumper, giving Dean the 2-0 advantage.
-However, it wouldn't take the Falcons long to recover. Fitchburg State responded by going on a 14-2 run through the next five minutes.
Donnary Fontenot (Atlanta, GA) would end the streak with two points of his own.

Xavier Boyd (Loganville, GA) would lead the Bulldogs in first half scoring. The senior posted 10 points, along with an assist and offensive rebound. Motley would also score six points in the first half.
After the opening 20 minutes of action, the Falcons would lead the Bulldogs 37-28.
-The Bulldogs offense awakened in the second half, scoring 53 points out of the break. However, their hole from the opening 20 would be too deep to dig out of.
-Fitchburg would continue their offensive prowess, scoring 56 points in the second half. Their efforts led them over the Bulldogs by a final score of 93-81

Moussa Berete (Richmond, VA) had a solid performance in the second half. The guard posted a team-leading 14 points, along with two offensive boards.
