New Haven, CT- The Dean College Women's Soccer team was defeated in their season finale against Albertus Magnus College by a final score of 0-4. With the loss, Dean finishes the year at 2-14-2 (1-11-1 GNAC), while the Falcons advance to the postseason with a 14-2-3 (9-1-3 GNAC) record.
How it Happened:
-While the Bulldogs remained shot-less in the first half, they played exceptional defense against the conference's number two attack. Goalkeeper
Lexi Gerow (Pownal, VT) made seven saves in the half, keeping Albertus afloat.
-The Falcons would break the ice in the final minutes of the half. Addie Lamand would find the back of the net, assisted by Tessa Lopez, to give Albertus Magnus the 1-0 lead going into halftime.
-Albertus would continue on the attack in the second half, recording 26 more shots. 12 of these were saved by Gerow, and 11 of them missed the goal. However, the Falcons scored three more times in the half to achieve a 4-0 final score.Â
-Grace D'Amico would net a pair of goals, followed by Tyler Stocking in the 72nd minute.Â
-Dean would record a crucial shot in the second half, nearly sneaking one past the goalkeeper.
Emmalynn Schnitzer (Eastham, MA) fired one through the box, but it was saved by Albertus' Amy Stevens.Â

The Women's Soccer season has officially concluded. Preseason for next year's campaign begins in August of 2026.
