Lewiston, Maine.- The Dean College Bulldogs women's volleyball squad dropped both matches of a tri-match in Lewiston, Maine on Saturday, falling 3-0 to Bates and 3-0 to Keene State. The losses drop Dean to 1-3 on the season while Bates improves to 3-0 and Keene moves to 4-2.
Dean took on Keene State first. After a close first set that the Owls eventually prevailed 25-19, Keene took control, winning 25-15 in both the second and the third games. Freshman
Maddy Seymour (Simsbury, Conn.) led the Bulldogs with six kills, while
Chloe Demaio (Medfield, Mass.) and
Emily Ball (Feeding Hills, Mass.) added four.
Anabella Driscoll (Plymouth, Mass.) added 14 assists while
Skylar Raskevitz (Easthampton, Mass.) pitched in six digs.
In the second match, Bates jumped out on the Bulldogs early, winning the opening game 25-15 and the second game 25-16. The Bulldogs rallied in the third set, but came up short, eventually losing 25-20, for the 3-0 final. Ball led the Bulldogs with eight kills while Seymour added six and
Caitlin Cooper (Amherst, N.H.) had four. Sophomore
Emma Siniscalchi (Huntington, N.Y.) had 13 assists and seven digs, while Raskevitz finished with a game-high 18 digs.
Next up for the Bulldogs is a home contest on Thursday against Rhode Island College at 6:00 p.m.
