NEW LONDON, Conn,- A balanced team effort powered the Dean College Bulldogs women's cross country team to a win over Mitchell in a head-to-head matchup on Friday. Despite ceding the top two spots to the hosts, Dean's third-seventh place finishers guided the squad to a team victory.
The Bulldogs top runner was
Isabella Nitschke (Watertown, Mass.), who finished third with a time of 28:46. Next, in fourth place,
Emma Cotsonas (Jamestown, R.I.) crossed the line at 28:55. In fifth place, first-year
Madison Hammond (Burlington, Mass.) registered at 31:06. Dean's final two finishers,
Violet Smith (Madison, N.J.) and
Helen Sanford (Deerfield, Mass.), finished in sixth and seventh place and recorded time of 31:07 and 32:05.
 Next up for Dean is a competition at Keene State in Keene N.H. on Saturday,October 5th.Â
