FRANKLIN, Mass. – April 25, 2024 – The Dean College softball team swept a Thursday doubleheader against Fisher at the Longley Athletic Complex. The Bulldogs won game one 23-0 and game two 24-0 both in five innings.
Dean (3-25) wraps up the regular season this weekend with a pair of conference doubleheaders. The Bulldogs play two at Regis on Saturday before returning home on Sunday to host Johnson & Wales. Fisher drops to 0-21 on the season.
GAME ONE – Dean 23, Fisher 0 (5 inn.)
The Bulldogs erupted for 16 runs in the first and never looked back. Dean added five runs in the second and two in the fourth for the 23-0 win in five innings.
Sophomore
Sydnee Ramos (New Bedford, Mass.) led 10 Bulldogs in the hit column with a 5-for-5 effort, two RBIs and four runs scored.
Senior
Meredith Landers (Littleton, Mass.) knocked in four runs on three hits, while junior
Alyssa Ribarovski (Sydney, Australia) finished 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs.
Junior
Jessica Stewart (Banks, Ore.) earned the shutout victory. She allowed two hits and struck out nine. Stewart also went 3-for-5 at the plate.
GAME TWO – Dean 24, Fisher 0 (5 inn.)
Dean got off to another hot start in game two with 11 Runs in the first inning. The Bulldogs then scored four in the second, seven in the third and two in the fourth.
Senior
Jilian Glynn (Londonderry, N.H.) earned the win with a complete game, 1-hitter. She struck out nine Falcons. She also went 2-for-4 at the plate with four runs and two RBIs.
Ramos added four hits to give her nine knocks for the day. Ribarovski drove in four runs on three hits, while sophomore
Liana Silva (New Britain, Conn.) added three hits, three runs and two RBIs.
Senior
Madison Mayo (North Attleboro, Mass.) tallied four RBIs, three runs and two hits. First-year
Bryce DeGasparre (Attleboro, Mass.) registered three hits and three RBIs.
